Artist Biography
Belle Raine is an Australian artist born in Byron Bay and currently living and working on Wangal and Gadigal land in Sydney, NSW.
She is currently completing a BFA (hons) at the National Art School and previous to that graduated from the Byron School of Art. Her first solo show, SOS, was at the Tweed Regional Gallery in 2022 with her follow-up solo show, The Volumes at The Project Space, Mullumbimby, in 2023.
She has been selected and participated in various group shows, including the New Frontiers Exhibition 2026, at
Stala Contemporary Gallery in Perth and The Guild of Storytellers 2026 at Wonderground Gallery in the Barossa Valley, SA.
Raine has been a finalist in several art prizes, including the Gallipoli Art Prize in 2020, the Wollumbin Art Award 2022, the Ravenswood Emerging Artist Prize in 2022, for which she was highly commended and the BAM Art Prize in 2023.
Raine was also the recipient of a graduate award at BSA, winning the Byron Arts Magazine award for a 6-page feature in the magazine’s Issue 19 in 2021.
